  insurance

Energy Assessors must have a minimum level of indemnity cover in place which is proportionate to the risks associated with the provision of an EPC, and is in any case no less than £100,000 per EPC.

Sterling Accreditation offers £2,000,000 Pay-per-Click Professional Indemnity Insurance. Full details are available on request.

  CPD (CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT)

As an accredited Energy assessor, it is a CLG requirement to carry out a specified number of hours of CPD in each accreditation year in order to keep you up to date with the latest conventions and guidance. Click Here for a full guide on the CLG CPD requirements.

Sterling provides a number of CPD courses on a variety of subjects. For details on up and coming courses Click Here

  QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality Assurance is a mandatory requirement of all Accreditation Schemes and helps to ensure that Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are produced to an accurate and consistent standard throughout the industry. A brief summary of the required QA is as follows:

  • Audit the 1st report for every new member within 30 days of lodgement
  • Have at least 1 report for each member audited every 6 months
  • Audit 2% of total reports per member

Our 14 stage quality audit on EPCs, DECs and Air Con Certificates will provide you with the confidence that the certificates you are lodging or have had commissioned are correct and have been checked by a quality organisation.

As a member of Sterling Accreditation we will undertake all of your QA audits in a fair and timely manner and provide you with a full and comprehensive written report for each EPC audited.
